Who Cannot Get Cosmetic Tattoo/Permanent Makeup?
If you are or have…
- Pregnant or Nursing
- Diabetic
- Viral infections and/or diseases
- Epilepsy
- A Pacemaker or major heart problems
- Had an Organ transplant
- Tendency towards keloids or scarring
- Seborrheic dermatitis
- Skin irritations or Psoriasis near the treated area (rashes, sunburn, acne, etc.)
- Sick (cold, flu, etc.)
- Had Botox 2 weeks – 1 month prior to appointment
- Used Retinol or Retin-A in the last 6 months – year
- Used Accutane in the past year
- Allergy to anesthetic (Lidocaine)
- Extremely Oily or Problematic Skin
- On Steroids or antibiotics, (must be off medication for at least 1 month)
How Painful Is The Procedure?
Minimal to no pain. We use Lidocaine numbing throughout the procedure.
About How Long Does It Take To Complete?
About 2 – 2 1/2 hours for initial appointments, and 1 – 1 1/2 hours for Touch-Ups.
What Is The Recovery Process?
It takes 10 days for your brows to heal on the surface. Your brows will be darker for the first few days of your appointment, and then start to scab throughout the next week. Although the appearance will go through a few phases, there is no down time.
How Long After First Session Can You Do The Touch Up?
Your first touch up should be scheduled no sooner than 8 weeks after from your initial appointment.
How Long Does It Last Before Having To Get It Done Again?
Usually, clients come in every 12-24 months for a color boost. Some clients with a combination – oily skin will need more frequent touch ups.
Am I a candidate even though I have previously microblading?
If your brows are a good shape and color, you would be a candidate for a color boost. If a correction needs to be done, you may potentially need removal or color correction appointments prior to your new brows. Please text us photos of your brows so we can make the best recommendation for you.
Is A Consultation Necessary Prior?
No. We go over all details in the beginning of your appointment, but if you have previously tattooed brows, you must send us photos or come in for a consult to determine which service is best for you. We offer consulting over video call as well.
